Diktuon.net provides services that allow you to see what others have done there or leave your own marks. To use the metaphor, it’s the walls, ceiling, furniture, servants and the kitchen sink at the clubhouse.

Not everyone can afford to build a house. But not everyone needs a house of their own. Diktuon.net is about providing Internet services worth the Kingdom to people willing to build the Kingdom. As it is not very much more complex to provide the same services to 10 000 than it is to 100, co-operating here makes it possible to for small units to use services they could not afford alone.

Some of the basic services include social networking, email and web publishing. But this is just to give it a head start, so that people would find it usable. In fact Diktuon.net is a generic platform. It’s been designed to be secure, robust, flexible and scalable, capable of hosting several kinds of services.

So, if you want to integrate a podcasting channel to Diktuon.net, feel free. Providing the community with an Enterprise grade groupware server – great. Put a profile an icon, which can be used to Skype call another user – should be easy. Create a collaborative Bible translation platform? – I can see how it could be done.
