I don’t really care what you use the Diktuon.net for. If you have the kind of heart fit for Diktuon, anything goes, be it a personal blog, a small business site, or email list management. The only restriction is that all the logged in users of Diktuon.net need to be contributing to Project Diktuon as well.

I really only want to build the basic infra, to make a solid basic system that is usable enough to be useful, but really just something people can build on. It is ultimately the users who decide to which direction they want to take it. And I think they really should also be the ones doing it in practise. In content, features and on user interface. Not everyone need to contribute to Diktuon.net, but everyone needs to contribute to Project Diktuon.

Here are some ideas what Diktuon.net could do for you.

Social networking

  • If you want to contact or network with other Christians, who want to build the Kingdom in Europe, Diktuon.net you could join the community.

  • If you know people, who already Contribute to Project Diktuon, you can invite them to visit the site or even to join the community.

  • Therefore it is sensible create separate social networking services for these various regions and languages, but with unified user management.

Internet service provider

It happens that the technology used to run Diktuon.net means that it can also act as a basic ISP. It could host your website or blog and email addresses, just like any other ISP.

This approach has certain advantages. First, there are some special needs the community may have, like need for enhanced security or privacy services. Second, IT infrastructure is more cost efficient for larger groups.. Third, it is possible to build services for the community, like social networking and collaboration tools.

Collaboration platform

Social networking tools are good start for collaboration tools. But more can easily be appended. Integrated internal mail and email, Workgroup servers, chat…

Hub for Announcing your work

    . to the users of this site – your peers in building the kingdom.

  • If you are want to publish your content – blogs, podcasts, etc. – elsewhere, you can use Diktuon.net to notify about it in various ways. E.g. homepages can be linked to, RSS feeds to blogs can be aggregated at Diktuon.net and blogs announcing podcasts and videos can be hosted or aggregated at Diktuon.net.

  • If you are looking for mature Christians and what they have published in the Internet, you could start here.

Technology project

  • If you are looking for an open source project to contribute, here is one. There’s a wide variety of technologies involved. I myself is not much of a coder, but know something about systems architecture.

  • And if you want to use the platform setup somewhere else – e.g. for building similar network in Australia – you are welcome.

If you want to do something not listed here, be creative. The technical platform is designed to be flexible, scalable and extensible. I want you to show where you want to take this thing, and give you means to get there.
